SAT Immersion Courses
The SAT Immersion course was especially created for individuals who desire to prepare for the SAT during the French school vacations (Zone C). This 1 week preparation course offers 18 total hours of instruction in order to prepare you for the SAT quickly and efficiently!
Our new SAT curriculum
Our classroom program has been updated to provide more personalized instruction, promote better learning and more importantly help students to score higher. Our new SAT program runs for six sessions of 3 hours. Two practice test sessions are included to monitor students’ performance. Two additional tests will be taken at home.
Each course targets a specific section of the SAT (Math or Verbal) to be studied according to three different themes related to sub-sections of the test. Each topic is divided into three phases of work:
- Direct Instruction: The teacher will present methodological recommendations, introduce and review relevant vocabulary and use Kaplan's methods and strategies to solve test-like problems.
- Guided Group Work: After Direct Instruction, the teacher will group students according to their strengths and weaknesses and assign them specific exercices. The aim is to practice collaboratively, while the teacher facilitates group work.
- Independent Practice: This is designed to help the students improve their understanding and memorization of the strategies and methods taught and practiced during the group work.
The professor teaches the course with a traditional American style, which makes the courses both interesting and captivating. You will receive personal attention with the necessary assistance to maximize your chances of success during the exam.
